Overview

Discover the true essence of Upper Egypt on this well-rounded 5-day journey through Luxor and Aswan where ancient history unfolds along the timeless flow of the Nile. This tour offers a deep and well-balanced exploration of Egypt’s most celebrated monuments, blending grand temples, royal tombs, and serene river scenery into one unforgettable adventure.

Your journey begins in Luxor, the heart of ancient Thebes, where colossal temples and sacred spaces reveal the power and spirituality of ancient Egyptian civilization. On the East Bank, you’ll explore the immense Karnak Temple Complex and the iconic Luxor Temple, monuments that once stood at the center of religious and ceremonial life.

Crossing to the West Bank, the landscape transforms into a sacred necropolis, home to the legendary Valley of the Kings, the elegant cliffside Temple of Hatshepsut, and the towering Colossi of Memnon that have guarded the area for millennia.

Continuing south, the journey leads to Aswan, a city known for its calm atmosphere, Nubian heritage, and unique blend of ancient and modern history. Here, you’ll discover remarkable landmarks such as the beautiful Philae Temple, the impressive High Dam, and the fascinating Unfinished Obelisk, offering insight into both ancient craftsmanship and modern engineering. A peaceful felucca sail on the Nile provides a relaxing contrast to the temple visits, allowing you to enjoy Egypt’s natural beauty from the water.

This 5-day experience is ideal for travelers seeking a comprehensive exploration of Upper Egypt, combining history, culture, and authentic local experiences at a comfortable pace, while covering the region’s most important highlights from Luxor to Aswan.
