Overview

Experience Egypt's rich heritage from Aswan to Luxor on this immersive overnight adventure. Travel from Aswan, spend the night in Luxor, and wake up to a magical sunrise hot air balloon ride over the ancient city. With visits to both the East and West Bank, this tour is ideal for travelers short on time but big on discovery.

Itinerary

Day One – Departure from Aswan & Exploring Luxor's East Bank:
Begin your journey with an early morning pickup from your hotel or cruise ship in Aswan. Relax during the scenic drive to Luxor, passing traditional villages and the lush farmlands of Upper Egypt. Upon arrival, dive into Luxor’s glorious past with a guided visit to Karnak Temple—the largest temple complex in ancient Egypt. Walk along its grand avenues, towering columns, and sacred lake while your guide shares stories of the pharaohs and gods once worshipped here.

Next, explore Luxor Temple, beautifully preserved and located in the heart of the modern city. With pylons, colonnades, and ancient inscriptions, this temple reveals how closely life and religion were intertwined in ancient Thebes.

Evening at Leisure:
Check in to your hotel and enjoy your evening at leisure. Optional add-ons include a traditional Egyptian dinner, shopping in the local souks, or attending the Karnak Sound and Light Show for a dramatic retelling of Luxor’s history.

Day Two – Hot Air Balloon Ride & West Bank Discovery:
Start your day before sunrise by transferring to the West Bank launch site for a magical hot air balloon ride. As you ascend into the early morning sky, marvel at panoramic views of the Nile Valley, scattered temples, and fields awakening below. Watch the golden light spill across the desert and mountains—a breathtaking highlight of your Egyptian journey.

After landing, your guide will take you to explore the wonders of Luxor’s West Bank. Begin with the Valley of the Kings, where you'll enter several royal tombs decorated with scenes from the afterlife. Continue to the Temple of Hatshepsut, a stunning mortuary temple built into the cliffs, and conclude at the Colossi of Memnon—two giant statues standing as silent guardians of the West.

Return to Aswan:
Following lunch (optional), begin your return journey to Aswan, with plenty of time to reflect on the temples, tombs, and unforgettable sunrise you’ve just experienced.
